Location

Climb to new heights for a unique perspective of the greater Gold Coast region with SkyPoint Climb's 1:20pm journey. Ascending to the top of the iconic Q1 building in the heart of Surfers Paradise, you'll be treated to sweeping views of the region, from the golden beaches the coast is known for to the lush Gold Coast Hinterland.

Q1 is Australia's tallest building, reaching a heigh of 270 metres above sea level, and with SkyPoint Climb you can conquer your fears and take the first step on this scenic and adventurous journey. SkyPoint Climb offers people the chance to walk above the glass crown that frames the top of the building and - if you're daring - walk along the edge of the building to experience the thrill and excitement of a sheer 270 metre drop.

Under the guidance of an experienced Climb Leader you'll be briefed and secured into a full body harness for your safety before rising to the platform and embarking on your journey outside of the building. With the security of an internal handrail and purpose-built stairs, climbers are as safe as can be as they climb up the massive spire. While atop of the building you'll be treated to commentary about the region from you guide who will point out all of the region's landmarks surrounding the Surfers Paradise precinct.

For stunning views of the greater Gold Coast region, be sure to book your SkyPoint Climb online today. All climbs run for a duration of 90 minutes, meaning the 1:20pm climb will commence closing in on 3pm in the early afternoon.

It was cool but a bit overrated
Fariha Zafar 6 months ago

It was cool but a bit overrated. The โ€œclimbโ€ was just walking up and down some stairs. The best part was the photograph since it made the experience look better than it actually was to show everyone else lol! But otherwise everything was fine I guess. Nice friendly staff.

We went as a family and was thrilled by the experience
Jeff Ong 7 months ago

We went as a family and was thrilled by the experience. Worth the money as observation deck can never leave any impact like this climb. We were there with 50km/hr wind speed and increase that excitement. Great weather and view. Awesome guide as well. Thanks, Dan!

I am very scared of heights
Kirsty (Staff) 1 year ago

I am very scared of heights, and whilst I was nervous at times during the walk, the safety briefing at the start and guides on the climb do make you feel at ease. Sensational views and I was very proud at the end when I had completed it - despite my fear of heights!

The views at the top are amazing and the pre briefing and safety aspects were excellent
Scott Tetley 2 years ago

The views at the top are amazing and the pre briefing and safety aspects were excellent. I've done the Sydney Harbour Bridge climb before therefore this clouded this experience a little. While the views across the Gold Coast were impressive, there really isn't much of a climb/walk. It's a quick climb up and down. I would have liked a little more info up the top about locations, highlights of buildings/region etc. Having said that though the cost still does represent good value as it's way cheaper than Sydney, it's a super easy climb and it shows a different perspective of the Gold Coast so would still recommend. Don't forget to check out the cocktails after and use your ticket for a discount - I had two as they were so good.

I never had any fear of heights when I m young because I stayed at higher floors of the flat
Yan Chan 4 years ago

I never had any fear of heights when I m young because I stayed at higher floors of the flat, ever since we shifted to a new home that is lower floors, that's when the fear of heights began, but I only knew it got worse when I started the climb, just like what the trainer has said, sometimes you never truely find out unless you attempted something like this! But I still pull through & made it right to the end! Each stop-point, I pass until the major viewing platform on top, then I finally confidently release the flexible catch & was relaxed thereafter, with everyone cheering me on, 1.20pm is such a wonderful weather! It was clearly as it stated on the voucher, steep incline on the way up & backward climb down the steps because of the steep sloping angle! The view of the whole Gold Coast & the Pacific Ocean simply amazing with helicopters & jetplanes flying through us seems like they are flying below us! Still manage to catch a few dolphins & turtles swimming, although can't spot any stingrays yet. Wonderful awesome experience, no more scared of heights anymore!!!
