Location

Combine all of Hobart, and the greater Tasmania region's, best assets and attractions; food, drink, nature and wildlife, into one comprehensive day tour. Departing Hobart, this tour will take you to see and explore a number of the region's best attractions including Mount Wellington, which is the first stop for the day. A short but beautiful journey to the summit, you'll take in impressive panoramic views of the region, making for some wonderful photo opportunities.

From here you'll be able to tighten up your walking shoes and follow one of the many walking trails on the mountain, each winding you through the luscious forests to get up close to local flora and fauna.

The second part of this adventure takes you to Bonorong Wildlife Sanctuary, home to some of Australia's most iconic animals. Here you'll have the chance to hand feed kangaroos, see the iconic and endangered Tasmanian Devil and meet the adorable wombats.

Come lunch time, you'll be excited to see a prepared lunch within the sanctuary come your way. Made with locally sourced produce from around the region.

  • On arrival to Mt. Wellington, grab an optional warm coffee and take in the views. The panoramic views will capture your gaze for the duration of your visit. Enroute learn of the Hobart'searly days as a struggling colonial outpost
  • Choose one of many walking trails, wander the lush forests, gullies and mountain summit
  • Time to get up close and personal with iconic Australian wildlife at the Bonorong Wildlife Sanctuary. Hand feed the hungry and friendly kangaroos, see the endangered Tasmanian devil and meet the cute and curious wombats
  • You will be eager for lunch after your eventful morning, a freshly prepared lunch is provided in the within the Sanctuary. With all produce sourced locally you will literally enjoy the taste of Tasmania
  • Journey to the Coal River Valley and visit a small locally owned vineyard to sample cool climate wines. If you haven't had enough of animals, pet the friendly vineyard dog. As you sip on pinot noir listen to your vineyard expert as they share the background of the wine and vineyard
  • Last but definitely taste direct from the distillery and learn why Tasmania is world renowned for creating the greatest single malt whiskey on earth
