Experience a full day of cruising and a tasty lunch (extra cost) with this Queen Charlotte Sound cruise option featuring a choice of Furneaux Lodge or Punga Cove Resort. Head out from the port of Picton at 9am and head out onto the waters of this beautiful part of New Zealand, following the Sound while absorbing the interesting commentary from the ship's skipper detailing the region's various geography, history and wildlife. Stop at the historic Ship Cove where Captain James Cook first landed back in 1770, and explore the shore or pose for a photo in front of the cove's monument.

Next, you'll be taken to your choice of lunch venues, each with their own distinct character. Furneaux Lodge is a historic locale nestled at the foot of Mount Furneaux in Endeavour Inlet, surrounded by 2000 acres of native virgin forest and features acres of well kept lawns and gardens. Enjoy your tasty lunch (lunch is NOT included), then explore the area and take a walk through native forest to a local waterfall. Alternatively, choose Punga Cove Resort which lies in picture-perfect surroundings and offers great views across Endeavour Inlet where you'll enjoy lunch (extra cost) at the Boat Shed Bar. Relax and observe the coming and going boats and kayakers, before reboarding for a return at approximately 6pm.
