A visit to the Alpine Centre is a great adventure for all ages, with the interactive displays capturing the attention and imagination of younger visitors. The in house theatre seats up to 126 people and is the only theatre in the world to include a 2D and 3D screen as well as a Digital Dome Planetarium all under the same roof.

The theatre plays a number of movies and documentaries including Hillary on Everest and Primeval New Zealand in 2D, Mount Cook Magic in 3D and features such as Black Holes and Infinity Express on the Digital Dome Planetarium screen. Times vary throughout the year so be sure to check online for the current schedule or at the Activities Desk upon your arrival.
