Beth 3 years ago Very friendly people who knew and loved their horses and I appreciated the individual attention letting me know the personality of my horse. It was a picturesque and relaxing ride (mainly walk with one trot) along the beach suitable for beginners and riders with some experience. My daughter and I had a wonderful time and I would recommend it for those people looking for an experience of this kind.

The experience itself was fine the beach was beautiful. However, the operator was absolutely terrible. The address listed on the website was completely wrong and we almost missed our time as a result. When we called to ask where we actually needed to be, we were told that we were in the wrong for using the address listed on the website and were told to 'just google it'. No apology was offered and the experience operator was downright rude! The guides pretty much put us on a horse and walked us up and down the beach for an hour, they didn't communicate with us at all, no background on the horses was provided and no information about the area, not even friendly small talk. In fact, the younger guide was actually scrolling through scocial media on her phone the whole time. Not worth $110!!!!

Wasn't what I was expecting
Amy 3 years ago

Wasn't what I was expecting, tour guides are fantastic, friendly and cannot fault them. For a complete beginner it would be fine, but as an experienced rider it wasn't very exciting. Walk up and down beach a few times and one trot or canter. My horse was stubborn and tried to chuck me off when I pushed it to canter, fortunately I can ride otherwise would have been off. Had a dog with us too that kept playing with horses which for the beginners on ride (and me at times) was scaring them when horses jumped away or went to play with dog. Also never mentioned the $15 extra insurance you must pay when you arrive. Experience mentioned a mix of rainforest and beach riding, not really rainforest just 5 min on way to beach. Horses were in good condition but feet and coats not great, a couple looked exhausted before we started, puffing (it was very hot though). Transfers is a great idea and made it easily accessible. Enjoyed it but been on better rides and rather not have to fight with a horse when I'm paying so much for a relaxing trail ride.

It is recommended to wear some comfortable long pants as your legs will rub against the horse while riding.
